Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Santa and all of our family were very good to the girls this year. They got a ton of toys!
Christmas Eve we went to Brian's dads house. They got to play with their cousins, Lexy and Alyssa. That night when we got home Sadie wanted to leave our eight carrots for the reindeers along with Santa's cookies and milk. She knew that is how many reindeers Santa had.
They woke up Christmas morning around 7:30 am and had lots and lots of presents under the tree to open.
In the afternoon we went to Brian's sisters for Christmas dinner. After dinner they got more presents. Sadie got a barbie dream house and UGG's. Leah got a mini trampoline, baby UGG's and they both got a Lego house to share.
Leah's favorite toy had to be her trampoline and Sadie's is her barbie house. They both fight over the Dora doll house and the train set constantly!

Did they get enough stuff?

She loves to JUMP!

Christmas Fun

What a great Christmas we had this year. We had my parents and family over last weekend for a party. We exchanged gifts and the girls got a tool bench and a doll bunk bed set. They also got some money so we made a trip to build a bear to make some bears. Leah picked out a dog and Sadie got a bear. They had so much fun filling the bears with stuffing and then giving them a bath afterwards.

It is always so much fun playing and running around. When daddy got there Santa decided to take dinner break so we decided to eat dinner too! Afterwards they finally got to see Santa. Sadie was so excited to hear that she was on the good list. Leah sat on Santa's lap and didnt seem to want to get off. He must of been cozy and warm. 15 days til Christmas!

much needed weekend

Had an awesome time up north with the ladies last weekend. It was my second year going with them and it was another great time. We went to my friend Pam's moms house at Shanty Creek. We got up there Friday afternoon, unpacked our things scrapbooked a little and then went out to dinner at a little bar in Belaire. After dinner we went back to the house and scrapped like crazy for the rest of the weekend. I was able to complets 54 pages, which was about a whole years worth of pictures. Last year I did 40 pages so I beat my record, lets hope I can do more next year. I was prepared and had everything ready and coordinated before I went up.
Thanks ladies!

Last Sunday we meet up with Brian's mom and step dad for breakfast at Big Boy. His sister and family came along too. Sadie was excited to see her favorite cousin Lexy!
We had a good breakfast and then headed to Kroger in Brighton for a cider mill road show. It was very fun. The kids got to ride on their first pony ride. They played in the bounce house, painted gords, and got some cider and doughnuts.
We were not sure if it was going to cost any money but it tured out to be all FREE!

decor

We decided to bring out the halloween decoratoins in the house this weekend. The girls had such a great time digging though the bin. Their favorites were the little spiders and flies. They played with them for hours! Sadie put on her costume and played with the black cat and the black spiders and pretended they were in her witch house with her.
After Sadie got off the bus today we decided to put up the Halloween decorations outside. Drew was over so they all helped put up the ghosts, spiders and spiderwebs outside. They said it was creepy and spooky. Sadie is soooooooo excited for Halloween, she is going to be a pretty witch and Leah will be a pink poodle.

Saturday morning we waited for the rain to stop and then headed to the cider mill to meet up with my parents and sister. The girls had a lot of fun. They feed the animals, rode tricycles and played in the corn. Sadie's favorite part was riding the zip line and Leah's was playing in the corn box. Afterwards we all had some delicious cider and donuts!

the bus

Sadie loves to ride the bus with her good friend Drew. She also has other friends from our street that she gets to ride with. It is a fun time at the bus stop and probably on the bus too!
I didn't think I was going to get emotional at all with Sadie going to school. I was good on her first day and fine when i dropped her off on her second day but as soon as i saw the bus coming down the street i lost it. She is such a big girl now riding the bus and going to kindergarten. She has meet a few new friends already and is so excited to go to school everyday.

first ride

We went on our first family bike ride with Sadie riding her own bike. She used to love riding in the bike trailer with Leah but now she loves to ride her own bike. She just learned to ride her bike without training wheels two weeks ago and is doing great!
Sunday morning we packed up the bikes and trailer in the van and headed to Island Lake State Park. We were not sure how long Sadie would last so I told Brian we shouldn't go to far in case she gets tired. Well we were having such a good time we didnt realize how far we rode. We ended up riding to Island lake to watch the remote control airplanes fly over the lake. Afterwards Brian asked Sadie if she wanted to ride back or if she wanted him to go and get the car she said she wanted to ride back. So in the end it was seven, yeah seven miles. She loved it. Hopefully we can make this a regular thing this fall.

Ludington

Last weekend we took the girls camping for the first time. We went to Ludington state park. It was a lot of fun but also a lot of work. We went for walks on the nature trails right by our campsite, we had bonfires each night and we went swimming and played in the sand at Lake Michigan.

update

Went to my natropath doctor last week because i found out that i could get a blood test that i have wanting for a while now. It is a food sensitivity test that will tell me what foods are affecting my health and if I stay away from them than hopefully I can eventually get off medication. It is unbelievable how foods affect your health, from allergies to rheumatoid arthritis there are certain foods cause inflamation in the body. I will find out the results in two weeks. I am very excited and nervous to find out which food i will need to avoid or cut back on. I hope the list is small but I am afraid it wont be. Trying to eat healthy has been such a challenge for me. And certain food you thought were healthy like corn and grains just aren't.

she will be missed

Yesterday was one of the saddest days i have ever had. It was hard but we had to finally make the decision to put Bow down. The night before she didnt even get up to use the kitty litter. She was just laying on the carpet and peed. So we knew then it was time.
I knew i wouldn't be able to handle taking her to the vet with the girls so my mom volunteered to do it. We made our appointment in the morning so we knew we had all day to spend with her. We took lots of pictures and video. We let her go outside a lot and then had to say good bye. We gave her kisses and told her we loved her.
Sadie and I made a list of all the things we will miss about Bow for a scrapbook mom is going to make. Sadie drew a picture of Bow and our family.
Today i have been going through all of the pictures we have of Bow. Wow there are a lot. I dont think i got them all but she always seemed to sneak in a lot of pictures especially on Christmas and Easter.

Sadie and Bow

Bow was a real good jumper when she was a kitten

We love you Bow !!!!!!
